Ben's talent for verse has always been enchanting; a true romantic, he has crafted timeless poetry and sonnets throughout the  milestones of our relationship.

The Occasional Sonnet is our collaborative effort as a husband and wife team, where we create everything from start to finish.

 

With a PhD in Drama and a deep love for Shakespeare, Ben infuses modern love stories with the essence of classical verse. As a playwright, experienced actor, and university lecturer in Shakespearean drama and acting, he captures the rhythm of emotion and the enduring beauty of sonnets. Drawing on his extensive background in study and performance, Ben crafts personalized sonnets that reflect your unique journey, memory or moment—be it a wedding, surprise, or special milestone—infusing every poem with care and inspired by the rich traditions of Elizabethan verse and the intimate details you share.  Ben is skilled in supporting performance of classical verse and coaching.

 

Jade, with her background in psychology and art is dedicated to sharing meaningful stories.  She dedicates her time to listening to others, helping them navigate life journeys and restory their experiences.
